5 Months Old!

Happy 5 Month Birthday Miss Karli!!

It seems like yesterday she was this big!

We don't know what we would do without her! She is such a happy girl and loves her Mommy and Daddy, as well as the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins! :) We are looking forward to Christmas and seeing her try to eat the wrapping paper!

She came up to work on Sunday and we weighed her....18 1/2 lbs! :) She is a healthy little chunk!

Such a Happy Baby!

Well I think we got lucky with such a happy easy going little girl! She is becoming a blabber mouth and just gives the gummiest grin! We can't get enough of this smile!





Can't believe Christmas is in 1 week! Karli has no idea but she just smiles and stares at the Christmas tree!

So its 1230am..I can't sleep..work was getting busy tonight. I am still up in the air about a babysitter. It's hard, exp when you dont know anyone, and then you are leaving your baby with them. She is our world and we want to find the right person. I am hoping God will help me in this. Maybe it isn't the right time to go to days and to not put Karli in daycare, but then again maybe it is. I don't know..but I do know everything will work out..it always does!

I will post some pics later this weekend. Dad and Ash are coming to town tomorrow!! Hopefully I will get some good ones of Karli trying to open presents!

Rice Cereal

So we started Karli on rice Cereal a few weeks ago, she wasnt too fond of it at first. However the last few days she has been grabbing for the spoon, but then when it gets in her mouth she doesn't know what to think! It's fun feeding her and of course usually when she is done we have to go straight to the bath!

1st Thanksgiving!

We went to STL for Thanksgiving. The pants I had for her turned out to be a little small! She likes to blow bubbles now and has become a jabber jaw! We are going to get it on video soon and I will post it.

There are so many things we are thankful for this year: Sweet Baby Karli, our loving and supportive families, great friends, our jobs, the kitties, and many more!

I got some shopping done on Black Friday, we met in Wentzville at 4:15am. We went to Walmart, Target, Old Navy and Macy's!

4 Months Old!!

So I took Karli to the Dr. on Monday for her 4 month checkup. I can't believe how fast time is flying. She goes for shots Dec 11..then back for the 6m checkup in January. The Dr OK'd it for her to start rice cereal so we will be trying that soon! Here are her updates:

Almost a Year ago

Well I can't believe its been almost a year already. This time last year Greg and I were getting ready to head to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. I remember the drive down there saying "I wish I was going down here and telling everyone I was pregnant" Well at the time I was on a certain medication that made me feel nautious, so I didn't think anything of it. We had Taco Bell on the way down and I immediately fell asleep right after eating. I wondered why I was so tired. I remember hearing the song "I Saw God Today" by George Strait and thinking aww I can't wait to have a baby....and also thinking and wondering if it would ever happen because we had been trying for over a year and no luck. Well we arrived in Conway and had Jumbalaya for dinner...later that night it decided to come back up. I still didn't think anything of it, just thought my stomach was upset. The next morning was Thanksgiving, we were getting in the car to head over to Granny and Pap's. Rachel offered me a Starbuck's Frappacinno which I love, but it didn't taste right at all. So we ate lunch at Pap and Granny's, then Rae and I were going to Grandma Betty's for lunch. Greg went home with Dad, Keith and Aaron and were loaded up to go to the cabin to hunt. Rachel drove us to Wal-Mart after me telling her 20x that "I'm not pregnant". So we buy some tests and she mase me take them in the WM bathroom. So I did, shoved it back in the box and waited to see the results in the parking lot. We were walking out, and I glanced and it said "pregnant" I had to look 5 more times and Rae was screaming "woohooooo" I am sure people were looking at us like we were crazy. So anyways thats how it all began. I called Greg and told him, but reassured him I was going to take another test to be sure. We told him not to tell Dad bc I wanted to tell him in person. So we ate at GMA's and I and Rae believe it or not kept our mouths shut about it..bc I atleast wanted to see the Dr first. We told Ashley when we got back to the house and she couldn't believe it either. So Jannette and I went shopping on Black Friday...and I bought more tests and took them, sure enough "pregnant". I was so excited but yet so anxious and nervous at the same time.

So the boys come back from the Cabin on Saturday. We were all in the kitchen waiting for dinner. Dad was grilling and we were trying to get the perfect moment to tell him. Greg hinted around several times about the "buns that were in the oven" but he didnt catch on. Finally Dad asked if I wanted a Beer. My response was "nope I can't" He had a confused look..and I said "well your going to be another Grandpa" and he was shocked and gave me a hug. Then he went out back to check the grill and came in and determied that it was already a boy. haha!

Little did I know..it was a long 9 months...but sooooooo worth it. Gosh I can't believe its been a year already since we found out. It seems like yesterday!

High Chair

We have started putting her in the High Chair when we eat! So far so good!! She stares at us tho sometimes with a sad look wondering where her food is!

She found her feet.....but olny when she is in sleepers with cute little animals on the feet!! She will stare at them like crazy!

4 Months old!!!!!!

Karli is 4 months old today! I was on bedrest for 4 whole months and it didn't go nearly as fast as these last 4 have. SLOW DOWN!! We are enjoying every moment that we can but it is flying by like crazy. It is bittersweet though. I see the new babies at work and they are soo tiny. OK so Karli is a littler Chubbers but that's ok..she was 6lb 15oz 4 months ago. Her personality is starting to show and she is "ahhing", laughing and has a funny whine squeal when she is frustrated with tummy time!!

I am breaking her in as my little shopper! The Christmas season is upon us so there will be more shopping trips in our future...we just won't tell Daddy :)

We go to the Dr in a week for the 4m checkup. Can't wait to see how much she has grown.

So we were playing in KK's room today and I decided to take some pics of her smiling! She is getting so big! We go on the 3oth to the Dr for her 4m checkup and shots..which I am dreading more than she is!

Enjoying Every Moment

Well little Missy is growing like crazy. She rolled from her back to her side the other night, that was a big accomplishment! I have been trying to put her on her stomach more, she tolerates it for about 5min. We practice sitting up too and she is still a little bobble head but she is getting better at it!

Everyday I go into work, I think wow, I am lucky I got a healthy perfect little baby. I see babies everyday that are born with complications and some have to be transferred to Children's. Just like myself, I could have been in the same situation with Karli. I know the bedrest sucked but I keep thinking it could have been way worse, Karli could have been born way premature and been in the NICU and have many problems. But thank god, I did what I was suppose to and got my healthy little baby girl! I thank God everyday! It's just amazing, and I love going into work and sharing the excitement with all of the new mothers and daddies out there, knowing I was there 3 1/2 months ago! I can't explain the love of being a parent, its the greatest gift in the world.

So we went to the park with Mom and Dave and after taking over 100+ pics, Davo got a few good ones! Thanks so much! We had a great weekend, it was short but sweet! Can't wait to see you both again soon!!

Such a Happy Baby!! We thank God everyday for blessing us with this wonderful little girl. We know it was rough getting her here, but soooo worth every minute of it! It keeps getting better everyday!

We found a new toy!! We got it back in April at a Garage Sale for $5! Karli's feel barely touch the ground, but she loves it!

3 Months Old!

Karli is 3 months old today! she is changing everyday, it's so much fun! We wouldn't trade it for anything! I think back to 6 months ago in April when I was put on bedrest for the remainder if my pregnancy...sure it sucked soooooooo bad at the time..but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Everything turned out perfect and we got a beautiful little girl! We love her so much!
